Stylin' and profilin'...
Dr. Dre has just signed on with New Line for a multiyear feature producing deal, through his new Crucial Films company. Way to go Dre! This is clearly the next step in a plan of world domination, from his humble roots as a founding member of the rap group N.W.A. to the CEO of Aftermath Music.
He’s worked with artists such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Eve and the Game; and the albums he’s produced have sold more than 80 million worldwide and won four Grammy Awards. So the man is no stranger to success.
What’s next for Dre? He’ll co-produce with longtime collaborator Phillip Atwell, and plans to focus first on developing dark comedies before moving into other areas, such as horror. As you can imagine, he'll be heavily involved in the music side of such projects and Dre has worked with New Line in the past, scoring music for such films as Set It Off.
We wish you luck in your new endeavor and can’t wait to see what you’ll roll out!
