Radha, Friend of Krishna
Aussie starlet Radha Mitchell has landed the lead in the upcoming noir title The Tender Hook. Along with Mitchell The Tender Hook will feature Ray Winstone and Matt Le Nevez who are rumoured to be playing the other lead roles.
Slated as a stylish 1920s film noir, The Tender Hook will be the first feature film from writer and director Jonathan Ogilvie. Set in a stylized version of jazz-age Sydney, The Tender Hook will follow the story of a young woman’s rise to the apex of a love/power triangle within the world of boxing.
The Tender Hook will be filmed in Sydney, Australia and is scheduled to begin in early 2007. Radha Mitchell has also just finished work on The Feast of Love and will shortly begin work on Downloading Nancy (co starring William Hurt and Holly Hunter). From her early beginnings in Aussie soap Neighbours, Radha Mitchell is now a Hollywood actress to be reckoned with. On a side note, try and check out Radha in Aussie film Love and Other Catastrophes (1996) and Pitch Black (co starring Vin Diesel - 2000), they're class.
