Gone to the big cattle drive in the sky… RIP Bruno.
This news is truly sad as Bruno Kirby was a very cool actor. You knew him from such great films as The Godfather: Part 2, When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers, Donnie Brasco and Good Morning, Vietnam. The guy also had many TV roles under his belt like guest appearances on the pilot episode of M*A*S*H, Fame, Frasier, Columbo, Hill Street Blues, Kojak and the last time we saw him, on HBO’s Entourage.
Apparently he was just recently diagnosed with Leukemia and died quite quickly this past Monday in Los Angeles due to complications from the disease. The man that said one of my all-time favorite movie lines (in City Slickers when he was accusing Mitch (Billy Crystal) of flirting with the only woman on the cattle drive with them), “No, that was "I like your ass. Can I wear it as a hat?" is now gone. Great actor… he’ll be missed.
May I suggest a silent moment while checking out his filmography on IMDB? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0456124/
