More options for your downloading pleasure!
Fox Interactive Media's IGN video game site has just announced the addition of movies, TV shows and anime to its Direct2Drive digital download store. Boy, everyone’s getting in on that action!
The store has multi-year agreements with 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate, Starz Media and Central Park Media, and will bring movies like X-Men: The Last Stand, Saw 2 and Ghost in the Shell to the Direct2Drive store.
How are the prices? Well, expect to pay approximately $7.99 to $19.99 for feature film releases (depending on distributor and newness) and $1.99 per TV series episode. This is new ground for the October 2004-launched store, as Direct2Drive has mainly offered premium PC games and other game-related content for purchase and download to this point.
Just another way to get the movies and shows you want, and remember… the more competition that arises, the better the prices for us end-consumers!
