We’re sure that this will come as no shock to anyone but Basic Instinct 2 swept the 27th annual Golden Raspberry awards, winning in 4 categories: Worst Picture, Worst Actress, Worst Screenplay and Worst Sequel of 2006. Ouch... that’s gotta sting a little, Sharon.
And believe us, it had tough competition on Saturday night to win as apparently the critics have been slamming Nicholas Cage’s remake of The Wicker Man (damn shame since the original was so good!), mostly because Cage shows up in a bear suit at a moment of high drama. Yikes… that’ll do it.
The 27th annual awards, presented by the Golden Raspberry Foundation, were held at Hollywood's Ivar Theater and certainly poked fun at other movies such as the Wayans brothers' poopfest Little Man (winning worst actor for Marlon and Shawn Wayans), so it wasn’t all about Sharon Stone baring it all badly, or Cage being a bear.
The complete list (and some funny pics) can be found at the Golden Raspberries official website HERE. Come see this fine institution poke fun at Carmen Electra, Ben Kingsley, Tim Allen and Robin Williams. Pure entertainment people... And here's a bit of trivia for ya: Sylvester Stallone has a lifetime of 30 Razzie nominations and 10 wins. Way to go Sly!
