Helen Slater is no doubt best known for her portrayal as Supergirl in the 1984 movie of the same name. Whatever happened to Helen Slater recently though, she had a string of films and then seemingly flew back to Krypton, or at least that’s how it appeared, let’s take a peek at what really happened to Helen Slater.

After Helen Slater appeared in Supergirl, she was in numerous other films that were fairly big successes, most notable Ruthless People (co starring Bette Midler and Judge Reinhold), The Secret of My Success (co starring Michael J Fox), City Slickers (co starring Billy Crystal). After City Slickers in 1991, Helen Slater does still work a lot, though majority seems to be in TV shows as opposed to film, or lesser known film.

So where is Helen Slater now, well she’s still working, most recently appearing in hit TV series Grey’s Anatomy and other TV outings. As well as being an accomplished actress Helen Slater is also a classically trained pianist and singer, she released her first album is 2003 titled ‘One Of These Days’, with a follow-up album ‘Crossword’. Helen herself states she’s always been more of a singer than an actress, just placing acting first for a time.

As well as all this, Helen Slater also had a daughter in 1995 and co-founded the New York based Theater group, The Naked Angels with actress Gina Gershon. On a side note she's also reportedly best friends with another MovieSquad WEHT Helen Hunt.
